As I’m sure you gathered, last weekend was pretty jam-packed.  Jam-packed with memories, and jam-packed with carbs.  I rolled out of our rental car on Sunday feeling like a swollen balloon.   I had so much energy that I couldn’t sit still, running off of my 48 hour sugar binge.  My roommates were forced to come up with some high-energy dancing game to keep me entertained.  Who needs a dog when you can watch Alex sugar crash?

I wanted to get back on track with my eating for the week, so I made sure to stock up on fruits and veggies during my weekly shop.  Obviously I love drinking all the Bud Light Limes in the world having my free time on the weekends, but it’s nice getting back into a balanced meal routine during the work week.  It’s also nice to walk around and not feel like Violet Beauregarde after she’s chewed a stick of a 3-course-meal gum.

What I Ate Wednesday…

Coffee with vanilla soy milk in the morning

and a smoothie for breakfast (frozen banana, blueberries, strawberries and 1 tbsp almond butter).

Around 11:00 I pulled out my strawbs for a snack.

Lunch: mixed greens with a Dr. Praeger’s california veggie burger, slice of a sweet potato, cauliflower, and tandoori tofu from my caf.

It was a late night in the office, so around 6:00 I pulled out my baggie of mini carrots.

I had planned on going to the gym after work, but my growling stomach had other plans.  I got home around 8:00 and made zucchini, quinoa, and a baked sweet potato.

More strawberries to bookend my day.

Then I let my brain melt as I watched Real Housewives of New Jersey.  I know this is a common criticism, but are those people real life?  Most of them cannot open their mouths without saying something that makes absolutely no sense.  Did these people even go to school?

After my long day I crashed into bed at 10:30, and woke up in the same exact position I fell asleep in.


Big meetings today so I’m off to the races.
